What waxing actually removes, and why it lasts longer than shaving
Every hair on the body grows from a follicle and cycles through phases of active growth and rest. Shaving only cuts the hair at the surface, so regrowth is visible within a day or two because the root is untouched. Waxing works differently: warm wax adheres to the hair shaft, and when it's pulled away, it removes the hair from further down, closer to the root, than a razor ever could.
